The locally significant Yarrawonga Town Hall is the prominent feature of the site.

Did you know that more than a third of Yarrawonga residents are local library members? To properly service a town with Yarrawonga’s population the library needs at least 650m2 – our current library is only 240m2 and Yarrawonga’s population is estimated to grow by 20% by 2026.

This project is jointly funded by Council, and the Victorian Government's Community Infrastructure Loan Scheme and Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.

This project has engaged multiple contractors: Chris Smith & Associates; Greenscape Environmental Solutions Pty Ltd; Kennedy Nolan; Ian Pridgeon; LEADiversity, Lorraine Huddle; N2SH Design Studio; and Urban Enterprise. Construction will be undertaken by Ultra Project Services Pty Ltd under the project management of Prideway Enterprises Pty Ltd.

The Yarrawonga Library Development will include:

  • a modern library;
  • a community event and exhibition space;
  • a commercial kitchen,
  • storage facilities,
  • customer service / reception areas;
  • two outdoor spaces;

Once the weight bearing slab has been approved, the site drainage will commence.
