Questions of Council

Council will hold Questions of Council Time for up to 30 minutes duration at the beginning of each Scheduled Council Meeting to allow questions of Council. 

Questions of Council are an opportunity for the general public to submit a question prior to the Scheduled Council Meeting and receive a response from Council during Questions of Council time of the Meeting.

Questions submitted in writing prior to the Meeting will be responded to during Question Time of Council.

No more than two questions will be accepted from any person at any one meeting. 

Do you need to submit a Question to Council?
If you have questions about rates, maintenance or progress of a project or program you don’t need to submit a question to Council or wait for a Scheduled Council Meeting. These matters are operational and you can contact Council during business hours for a response. 

How to submit your Question/s

Questions submitted to the Council must be:

(a) in written form;
(b) contain the name, address, email and contact telephone number of the person submitting the question;
(c) in a form approved or permitted by the Council (an online form is available below);
(d) addressed to the Chief Executive Officer; and be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting by email to info@moira.vic.gov.au clearing stating the question is for the Council Meeting.

Collection Notice
Council is collecting the personal information in this form for administration of your question submitted to Council and/or directly related purpose. If you do not provide your information, Council will not be able to accept your question/s. Your information may be used to contact you about your question/s if required or provide you with a written response if requested.  Your name and question will also be read out at the nominated Council Meeting which are recorded and broadcasted to the public. Council may also disclose your information if required or authorised by legislation. 
 Requests for access and/or correction to your personal information should be made to Council’s Privacy Officer.
