Moira2045 Community Vision that was prepared in accordance with section 88 of the Local Government Act 2020 and Council’s Community Engagement Policy.
Council appointed a Community Panel in November 2024 who were recruited through an express of interest process and have provided a community voice and insights to Council on the development of the Moira2045 Community Vision using a deliberative, community-centred approach.
The Community Panel, made up of 18 community members participated in a series of workshops where they reviewed broad community inputs received during community consultation on the draft Vision and held group discussions around key opportunities and challenges for Moira and what we can do now to influence the future.
The Moira2045 Community Vision includes a central statement that by 2045 we will be a thriving, connected regional community, and is built around four key themes — Community, Environment, Liveability, and Prosperity — which reflect the priorities and aspirations of our region.
Moira2045 Community Vision was endorsed by Council on 28 May 2025 and has replaced the MoiraVision2035.
