Community services

Moira Shire residents can access a wide range of home and community care services from MHA Care including:

  • Home Care
  • Personal and Respite Care
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Planned Activity Groups
  • Swimming Programs
  • Home and Property Maintenance

Individuals can self-refer to MHA Care or have someone else such as a family member, doctor or case manager refer you.

To make a referral and/or discuss a service for you or someone you know please call MHA Care's Intake Officer on (03) 5742 1111 between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Community cars
Community cars provide transport to medical, therapy, respite and some social activities to people who are frail/aged or have a disability and their carers. These cars are available for all applicable residents of Moira Shire Council. Also catering to special needs groups, such as people who are culturally and linguistically diverse and others who are transport disadvantaged. Community cars are driven by volunteers and may incur a small fee.
