He’s a well‑mannered boy who knows his basic commands like sit and stay, and he patiently waits for his food. Doug appreciates routine, gentle guidance, and the company of someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle.

He does get along with other dogs, though he prefers not to have them too close when food is around. A peaceful home with respectful canine companions—or even as the only dog—would suit him best. He can be a little standoffish with some male dogs, but once he feels comfortable, his friendly nature shines through.

Outside of those moments, Doug is a warm, affectionate dog who truly enjoys human company. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and will happily spend his days by your side, offering loyalty, companionship, and a calm presence.
