Information about Friends of Groups

There are 11 Friends of Groups (FOG's) in place, to support Council with the ongoing operation of their respective community hall. Each Friends of Group (FOG) comprises representatives who are volunteers of Council and who operate in accordance with the FOG Terms of Reference.

The FOG aims to provide Council with informed feedback, advice and knowledge to support Council with the management of their facility.

Currently the facility is booked through the FOG, hirers liaise with the FOG to book the facility, complete a Facility Hire Application, confirm requirements, arrange set up and access to the facility. An invoice for the hire fee is provided to the hirer who pays the direct credit into the bank account for the facility. FOG members do not handle payments. All paperwork is submitted to Council.
