Update: This road is expected to reopen after Friday 27 October 2023.
Council have been advised that Goulburn Murray Water are closing the bridge on Barnes Road just south of Parnell Road intersection (between Parnell Road and Powerline Road) due to emergency structural repairs required. The closure is effective from 19 August 2022 and will be in place for a minimum of 12 months while these important works are completed.
There will be a detour in place for all vehicles.
All NHVR registered vehicles that need access to south of Barnes Road will need to detour from Murray Valley Hwy via Katamatite-East-School Road and Powerline Road to Barnes Road.
