Community Gardens

Cobram community gardens

Situated behind the Cobram Community House, the community gardens are available for public use.

It is a wonderful area for individuals or groups to gather, tender to their plots and socialise.

The keys are available from the Community House which is open Mon – Fri 10am – 3pm or give them a call for more information on (03) 5872 2224.  

Yarrawonga community gardens

Located on the corner of McLean and Gilmore Streets, opposite the showgrounds.

For anyone interested, a plot is allocated for a small fee – there are 22 plots ‘rented’, the larger plots are for Lionesses and Foodshare.

The gardens were established in 2010 and were up and running by 2014.

Plots include a herb garden, sensory garden and native plant areas.

Nathalia community gardens

Situated at the Nathalia Community House, this garden has undergone some upgrades and is ready to flourish.

If anyone is interested in getting their hands dirty and creating a space for both yourself and others to enjoy please contact the Nathalia Community House on (03) 5866 2449 or email nathch@bigpond.com.

The Nathalia Community House also offer a ‘foodshare cart’ where any excess garden produce is available for free to all community members.

Numurkah community gardens

The Numurkah community garden is located at Numurkah Community House, 13 Murray Avenue, and is accessible to all.

Community members are invited to take and plant produce and share in the spoils, or even just sit and enjoy the serenity of the surrounds.
