There is no denying we all have been facing unprecedented levels of stress during the COVID-19 health crisis.

General Manager Community Sally Rice said to celebrate and recognise Moira Shire communities’ strength and resilience, people are invited to help create a large-scale art poster depicting our region, our spaces and our individual stories.

“Your personal artwork could be a flower, a room, a person, a place or a collage of objects from your home environment; you could even write a poem,” Ms Rice said.

“Residents should start receiving a special entry postcard in the mail, which has space on the back to record your ideas, drawings, paintings, words and thoughts.”

Ms Rice said it was a chance for residents to share their ‘pandemic impact’ and connect with other residents as well as participating in the making of a large public artwork.

“We want to know what you love most about where you live,” she said.

“Tell us or show us what makes your space special, what does community mean to you and what makes the place you live in or the people you live with resilient?

“Please drop off your creations by Friday 20 November in special collection boxes located at local IGAs and selected post offices or at our Cobram Customer Service Centre.

“Or you can upload your entry to moiraconnects.questionpro.com.”
