Council adopted its first Community Engagement Policy in February 2021 in accordance with Section 55 of the Local Government Act 2020.

Council is reviewing this policy in order to improve community satisfaction in Council’s Community Engagement practices.

The review will also continue to ensure:

  • Council's engagement commitments to the community are clear and comprehensive;
  • compliance with the principles of community engagement as defined in the Local Government Act 2020.
