Construction of the new fenced off-leash dog park at Coglan Park, Gemmill Street, Cobram commenced on 9 May 2025.
Initial works have included the installation of perimeter fencing on a concrete plinth base.
Stage Two, commencing Monday 2 June, will include the installation of dog agility equipment, park seating, a shelter for dog owners, and the construction of a double-gated entry and exit area to ensure safe and secure access to the park.
Stage Three will deliver the remaining features of the park, including a connecting path to the shelter, a river sand area for dogs to dig and play, a drinking fountain with an integrated dog bowl, rubbish and dog waste bins, and park signage.
Additional works will include the installation of signage and final landscaping elements.
Construction is progressing on schedule, with completion expected by 30 June 2025, subject to weather conditions.

This project is jointly funded by Moira Shire Council and the Victorian Government through Regional Development Victoria’s Living Local Regional Grant Program, which supports the development of local infrastructure in Cobram. The location at Coglan Park, Gemmill Street (Karook Street end), was endorsed by Council at its Scheduled Meeting on 28 August 2024 as the most suitable site for a confined off-leash dog park.
