Join us for a special community event as we unveil Waaia’s newest cultural landmark — a stunning silo mural painted by renowned artist Tim Bowtell, known for his work across Victoria’s Silo Art Trail.

This vibrant artwork pays tribute to Waaia’s rich dairying and agricultural heritage, featuring:

  • Friesian cows in a nostalgic early morning milking scene
  • A classic walk-through dairy and symbolic crows representing Waaia’s Indigenous name
  • Local legend Bill Martin, famed for his strength and spirit
  • A historic diesel train “The Beetle”, connecting Waaia to Victoria’s rail past
  • A water wheel, symbolising the community’s fight for irrigation

Light refreshments will be served at the Waaia Hotel. This is more than an unveiling — it’s a celebration of community, culture, and creativity. Come and be part of the story!
