Station Street Wetland

Located in the township of Numurkah, Station Street Wetland is a place to connect with nature. Created in 2003 to improve the quality of the townships stormwater before entering the Broken Creek, we now see native plantings are thriving and the 1km path traversing through the wetland including a boardwalk adds to this natural asset. Acting as a natural sponge, the wetland helps reduce flooding events by soaking up stormwater runoff created by rainfall. By removing sediments, litter, nutrients and pollutants before it enters the Broken Creek, Station Street Wetland also provides a home for birds, frogs, reptiles, mammals and insects. If you have not taken the time to visit Station Street Wetland, please do so, you will not be disappointed.
