Councillor Marie Martin tendered her resignation last night.
Mayor Libro Mustica thanked Cr Martin for her time at Council.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to thank Cr Martin for her contribution and dedication during her almost ten years as Councillor,” Cr Mustica said.
“Marie has a strong record of community involvement and was a valued member of multiple committees during her time on Council.
“Her work with the arts sector was instrumental in the development of Council’s current Arts and Culture Strategy, ensuring all communities could have access to varied, high quality arts programs.
“Serving as Mayor of Moira Shire Council for the 2014/15 term, Marie oversaw the comprehensive review of the 2013-17 Council Plan as well as the introduction of the organic waste kerbside collection service.
“She has worked tirelessly for the betterment of all residents in Moira Shire and I wish Marie all the best in her future endeavours.”
