Council's Arts and Culture Strategy 2020-26 was developed through extensive consultation with the community and organisations, including MAC Inc.

It identifies three plans and six goals through which the arts can implement, progress and strengthen Council's vision for a prosperous rural community.

These correspond directly with the wide range of views and aspirations expressed by the community during the consultation period.

Through delivery of this new vision, in conjunction with community, we want to continue to grow a thriving, cultural environment that respects the arts and the unique cultural values and identity of Moira Shire.

At the launch of this important document, Council publically acknowledged and expressed gratitude to MAC Inc in particular, for its role in progressing this vision for inclusive artistic communities.

In addition, council representatives including myself, attended a morning tea last year to farewell MAC Inc and congratulate this organisation for its hard work and contribution to the community during its lifetime.

We now look forward to the implementation of ideas and projects the four new Art Hubs - Across the Arts, Yarrawonga; Arts for All, Cobram (whose president is a MAC Inc board member); CAN Hub, Numurkah; The G.R.A.I.N. Store, Nathalia - will produce for the residents of Moira Shire as a result of the Arts and Culture Strategy 2020-26.
