Apply now for grants to strengthen our community

Not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding of up to $10,000 under Moira Shire Council’s Community Strengthening Grants program.
This will be the second Major Grants round for the 2025/26 Community Strengthening Grants program, and it will support larger projects that deliver significant outcomes for the community with grants of up to $10,000.
The two Quick Response streams of the program – providing funding of up to $1,000 and $5,000 for small, time-sensitive projects that provide immediate community benefit – remain open for applications year-round.
Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson PSM said the Community Strengthening Grants program supports not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects, programs and events that benefit residents of Moira Shire.
“We want to support as many organisations as possible who share Council’s vision for healthy, inclusive, resilient, connected, vibrant and thriving communities,” Dr Emonson said.
“Therefore, we have updated the Community Strengthening Grants guidelines to make it easier for applicants to understand the types of projects and events that are eligible under the program, and also who can apply.”
Dr Emonson wants to see more community organisations put forward their ideas for funding.
He urged interested groups to check if their project or event fits the Community Strengthening Grants program at: https://www.moira.vic.gov.au/Community/Community-Grants
Applications for the current Major Grants round can be submitted on Council’s website at https://www.moira.vic.gov.au/Community/Community-Grants and close on Monday 30 March.
