Applications are now open for our one-off Coronavirus Community Recovery Grants.

Mayor Libro Mustica said grants of up to $2,500 will be available to successful applicants.

“To enhance our communities as we come out of COVID restrictions, applications are now open to help realise opportunities which support and improve health and wellbeing through community engagement, collaboration, innovation and social connection,” Cr Mustica said.

“We would love to hear from community organisations, groups, social enterprises and creative organisations with ideas to deliver projects or programs to assist in recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Cr Mustica said priority would be given to projects or programs that respond to the impact of COVID-19, including projects that improve health and wellbeing through community engagement, collaboration, innovation and social connection.

“Suitable activities or projects may include – the purchasing of products which ensure the delivery of community activities to meet COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines; the adaption of existing services, programs or activities so they can continue, or be adapted due to COVID-19 requirements; new one-off services, programs or activities that strengthen the community in recovery from the impact of COVID019; and activities that will promote re-engagement in community based activities and volunteering,” he said.

“Local libraries and Neighbourhood Houses have kindly offered to provide computer and internet access.
