  4. Once the required information is gathered, the service will analyse whether a planning permit is likely to be required

Frequently asked questions

What types of development does this service cover?

myLot covers a variety of services and is best suited for residential developments where the land is zoned residential, such as swimming pools and domestic sheds. The service is not suitable for more complex proposals such as subdivisions and large multi-unit developments. It does not cover questions related to:

  • Covenants, 173 agreements, Easements and other restrictions found on the property title and plans

  • Previous or existing planning permits, or existing uses.

  • Public Land Zones and Special Purpose Zones

  • Other approvals that may be required, such as building permits

Can I use this service for a property I’m looking to purchase?

Yes. You can enquire about any address in a residential, industrial, commercial or rural zone within the Moira Shire local government area.

What if I don’t know or have changed my mind about the details of my project?

That’s okay! The service can provide guidance based on the information you do have. If there are details you’re unsure about, you can always come back and explore different options using the service to better understand the planning implications.

Yes. The service uses AI to ask you the right questions about your proposal and to generate a report. Your email and property address are not disclosed to the AI and are not used to train the AI.
