If the recent Australian Open has inspired you to pick up a racket then Moira Shire Council has the competition for you.

Mayor Libro Mustica said Council was running an exciting promotion of the game of tennis throughout the month of February.

“Tennis provides great opportunities to be physically active and to form life-long friendships,” Cr Mustica said.

“To encourage people to use the many fantastic and publically available tennis courts around the shire, we want you to send in a photo or short video of yourself having a hit then nominate a tennis club you would like one of our special prize packages to go to.

“Your entry can be a trick shot, an ace, a unique celebration, a tennis fail or just something funny that happened on the court.

“We can't wait to see tennis courts across the shire full of excited players of all ages, all genders, all backgrounds, enjoying the sport we all love.”

Send your entry to info@moira.vic.gov.au and it will be added to the dedicated tennis competition page on Council’s website and used on our socials.

Entries close Monday 28 February.
