Moira Shire has welcomed the announcement of more than $700,000 of funding by the Victorian Government under its Fixing Country Roads program.

“Earlier this year we applied for funding and we are delighted to have the funding confirmed this week,” said Moira Shire Mayor Libro Mustica.

The announcement includes funding to:

• Upgrade the intersection at Forges Pump Lane and Murray Valley Highway, west of Yarrawonga, and
• Widen of the Lake Rowan Road in Lake Rowan.
Council is contributing more than $100,000 to the projects.
“With the funding now confirmed, we will take advantage of the warmer months to complete the works by the June 2019 deadline. We will share further information about the individual projects including the timelines shortly,” said Mayor Mustica.
