Help shape Bundalong’s future through new plan
Published on 13 June 2025
Community input is being sought to develop a new blueprint for Bundalong. The new plan will guide future growth and retain Bundalong’s character over the next 20 years.
The Bundalong Structure Plan will help shape the future of one of Moira Shire’s fastest growing towns, with the first round of community engagement designed to understand the aspirations of the community.
Council has committed to developing a more detailed plan for the town following continued strong annual population growth of about 3.6%.
Chair Administrator Graeme Emonson said community input will be key in shaping a shared vision.
“Bundalong continues to grow in popularity as a tourist destination and is seeing continued development. We need a well-planned approach to guide that growth sustainably and to ensure the things that are great about Bundalong are preserved,” Dr Emonson said.
“Council is committed to developing a comprehensive Structure Plan that reflects the community’s vision and values.
“This is your chance to help shape that vision. Whether you live in Bundalong full time, holiday here, or have a connection to the town – we want to hear from you.”
The first stage of consultation is now underway and includes a mix of in-person and online opportunities to get involved:
- Online Session - Tuesday 17th 2025 June 6pm -7.30pm (register online at the Moira Matters website)
