Moira Shire Council is proudly supporting the Victorian Seniors Festival this October, celebrating the invaluable contributions our seniors make to the community every day.

This year’s theme – Explore. Engage. Evolve. – encourages seniors to stay curious and connected by discovering new activities, meeting new people, and redefining what it means to age.

Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson PSM said that is fantastic to have all five Senior Citizen Clubs within the shire hosting events this year.

“It’s more important than ever for our seniors to stay active and to connect socially. This year’s program is packed with free activities that everyone can enjoy,” said Dr Emonson.

“Try your hand at carpet bowls, enjoy a Morning Melodies performance, or come along to a coffee and create afternoon, testing out your artistic abilities – with 16 events throughout the month, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved.”

“We thank the Cobram, Yarrawonga, Tungamah, Nathalia and Numurkah Senior Citizens Club’s for their efforts in planning this fantastic program.”

Now in its 42nd year, the Victorian Seniors Festival recognises the diverse contributions of older Victorians while encouraging active community participation.
