Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrating out cultural and linguistic diversity.

Mayor Libro Mustica said multiculturalism was a core part of the identity, character and way of life in Moira Shire.

“As home to people from all corners of the world, Moira Shire is a place where anyone can contribute and belong,” Cr Mustica said.

“Every year in March, we bring communities together to celebrate our diversity.

“Unfortunately, in 2020 these celebrations were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, we’re back.

“We are excited to share our plans for this year’s Cultural Diversity Week.

“This year’s Cultural Diversity Week theme pushes the boundaries and asks: What does multicultural Victoria look like in 2030?

“This theme will likely spark constructive conversations at the various events held throughout the shire.

“Activities including sharing culture through food, music, traditional and multi-faith celebrations will all be on offer.

We remain committed to celebrating and enjoying Cultural Diversity Week in a way that is COVIDSafe and accessible for all.”
