Businesses and organisations from across the region are invited to a ‘must attend’ forum to learn how to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) within their businesses.

The ‘Artificial Intelligence Forum – Leveraging AI to Grow Business’ event will be held on Wednesday 3 September 2025, from 9.30am to 3.00pm at The Sebel Yarrawonga.

The forum will bring together local leaders, innovators, and AI experts to discuss the latest national developments in artificial intelligence and how businesses in the Moira Shire can harness these technologies to create new opportunities and drive growth.

With guest speakers including Rita Arrigo (National AI Centre), Ben Finkel (Australian Regional AI Network) and more, there will be plenty of practical insights and discussion.

Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson said the forum represents Council's commitment to supporting local businesses in embracing emerging technologies.

"Following the positive response to our earlier manufacturing-focused AI forum, we recognised an opportunity to expand this conversation to businesses across all sectors in our shire," Dr Emonson said.

"This forum will provide our business community with practical, actionable insights they can immediately apply to their operations, helping them stay competitive in an increasingly digital economy."

Along with AI experts, attendees will hear from local businesses who have successfully leveraged AI to improve their operations.

The forum will also cover national trends in AI, what it can mean for regional businesses, skills and training to leverage AI effectively, implementation tips, available tools and resources, insights into common challenges, and how AI can unlock new opportunities.

More information and tickets for the forum are available from Council’s website.
