Interior works are well underway, with ceiling works now complete, painting commenced and tiling in progress.
Soon the community will enjoy a modern, inclusive space to learn, create and connect, featuring a spacious reading area, community meeting rooms, and flexible event and exhibition spaces.

January 2026
Construction of the new Yarrawonga Library is progressing well. All toilets, meeting rooms, and the main library open space have now been fully framed, with plastering underway.
Mechanical and hydraulic services have been roughed in, supporting the next stage of internal works. Installation of the front façade is underway and largely completed.
The works are tracking according to schedule, and we look forward to sharing the building with GV Libraries later in the year.
December 2025
The Yarrawonga Library, Events and Performance Precinct has made significant progress throughout 2025:
- Foundations completed and structural steel installed
- ETFE roof over the foyer space installed
- Signature external arches in place
- Service rough-ins and glazing underway
- Exterior nearing completion with arched facades, large windows, and expansive ETFE roofing
The exterior of the building is almost complete, and the internal fit-out will be the focus for 2026, ready for the building’s completion.
November 2025
The exterior is almost complete with stunning arched facades, large windows, and expansive ETFE roofing. Interior works are now underway to create an inclusive, interactive hub for our community.
September 2025
Works continue to progress steadily on Stage 1 of the Yarrawonga Library, Events and Performance Precinct.
A key milestone was recently achieved with the installation of the ETFE roof over the library foyer space. This innovative roofing system, made from a lightweight and durable plastic polymer, offers high transparency, excellent insulation, and a low carbon footprint. The multi-layered ETFE “cushion” is pneumatically inflated, providing both structural stability and a striking architectural feature.
The structural framing for the library is now fully installed, allowing the remainder of the roofing works to be completed. The contractor is currently focused on service rough-ins, including electrical, hydraulics, fire, and mechanical systems, as well as the installation of glazing.
Another exciting development is the installation of the signature external arches, which are now in place and add a distinctive visual element to the building’s facade.
Upcoming works will include the completion of service rough-ins and the installation of plasterboard throughout the internal spaces. The project continues to move forward positively, with each milestone bringing the community closer to enjoying this vibrant new precinct.
March 2025
The structural steel is now in place at the new Yarrawonga library, Events, and Performance Precinct It won’t be long until we see the roofing laid, brining us one step closer to this exciting new community space.

Tuesday 4 February 2025:
The foundation work for the new Yarrawonga Library, Events, and Performance Precinct is now complete. The next stage of construction will involve the installation of the structural frame, marking another significant milestone in the development of this modern community facility.
Once completed, the precinct will provide:
- Meeting spaces for connection and collaboration
- Access to technology and digital resources
- A welcoming environment designed for community engagement and learning

Wednesday 9 October 2024:
Slab pouring is underway for the new building, sections 1 and 2 are complete, with only section 3 remaining.
The team is preparing for structural works to begin as soon as the foundations are complete.
