Operation Luminous will light up Moira Shire’s parks and newly activated public precincts – places that have had numerous requests for maintenance due to vandalism and graffiti.

Solar lights will be installed at the following locations –

  • Train Park, Picola
  • Newman Square walkway, Quinn Street, Numurkah
  • Memorial Park and toilet block, Elizabeth Street, Nathalia
  • Levings Park, Queen Street, Cobram
  • Federation Park, Cobram
  • Numurkah Apex Park
  • Yarrawonga Foreshore skate park toilet  

     

The lights will activate the areas, increase passive surveillance from passers-by and park/toilet users, increase community confidence and deter potential offenders.

This project is funded by Council and the Victorian Government’s Community safety Infrastructure Grant program.
