Moira Shire Council has been successful in receiving funding to upgrade the oval lighting at the Numurkah Showgrounds.
 
The Oval lighting works incorporated design, supply and construction of 100 Lux LED lighting.
 
This project was funded through the 2022 Local Sporting Infrastructure Fund – Community Sports Lighting Stream and Council's Capital Works Program.
 
Project Completion 

In June 2024, the Numurkah Showgrounds Oval Lighting Project was completed, Moira Shire Council together with the Numurkah Recreation Reserve Community Asset Committee, Numurkah Football Club, Sport and Recreation Victoria and Auselec, the principal contractor involved in the installation, officially turned the upgraded lights on.
