Dollar Discovery Weekend 2023

Moira and Berrigan Shire Councils are seeking amazing businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry from around Sun Country to participate in the $1 Discovery Weekend for 2023, on July 22 & 23.

The Dollar Discovery Weekend is designed to allow locals to affordably explore our great region and its many attractions, so that they can be a local guide and show their friends and relatives all the best experiences when they’re next in town.

Join our $1 campaign, to showcase what your business offers, to encourage locals to visit and experience your tourist attraction or hospitality offering on July 22 & 23 so when their friends and relatives visit, they can recommend your business as a place to go to!

Sample offers from previous years include: $1 Entry, $1 Case of Wine, $1 Devonshire Tea, $1 Game of Golf, $1 Donut when you purchase a coffee, $1 Wine/Beverage with main meal purchase, $1 Popcorn with cinema ticket purchase, $1 Sausage, $1 Upgrade – the limit is your imagination!

Over the weekend you operate as per normal, with this promotion available. We ask that you record the number of visitors specific to this promotion. Each year between 1,000 and 1,500 locals participate across the businesses.
