Green Waste

We are committed to the environment by turning our garden waste into mulch and keeping those materials out of landfill, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ultimately prolonging the life of our existing Cobram landfill site.

Green waste can be deposited at all nine Resource Recovery Centres.

Please ensure your green waste does not contain:

• Soil
• Processed timbers
• Branches >300mm
• Food scraps

Is Green Waste different to Organic Green Bin waste? 
Our green waste is a totally different product to our kerbside organics service. Please ensure there is no food waste mixed with green waste when deposited at transfer stations. Not only does it contaminate our mulch but also attracts vermon and fruit fly.

We offer free mulch to residents as part of our commitment to responsible waste management. Mulch is loaded free of charge.
