Alternatives can be used, such as beeswax wraps or reusable containers.

** Get yourself a reusable cup. Make a pledge to only purchase a coffee with your reusable cup. If you don't have it on you, dine in or skip that coffee - this will ensure you will remember your reusable cup the next day.

*** Use the real thing. If this is not an option try and source paper or bamboo plates which can be placed into your organics bin or home compost.

**** If you have confidential documents, there are several companies who provide document destruction and recycling, including supply onsite, mobile shredding services.

* Cloth nappies are a great alternative to disposable nappies. Every child will probably need between 6,000 to 7,000 nappy changes before they are fully toilet trained. Cloth nappies, although have a larger upfront cost, can also be used for multiple children.
