Councillor Profile

What is your connection to Moira?

I have been a resident within Moira Shire for over 30 years, having moved here for work in the early 1990's.

What do you think is the greatest strength of the Moira community?

The Murray River and its ability to attract people from all over Australia to visit, work and live.

What made you decide to run for Council?

I ran for Council due to my belief that Council can make a positive contribution towards the livability and desire to live within the shire.

What do you hope to achieve in your term as Moira Shire Councillor?

During my tern as Councillor I hope to achieve a renewal of community involvement in the decision making by Council, including the reintroduction of public question time where residents can once again ask questions directly to their elected representative.

What is your favourite thing to do in Moira?

Tending to my veggie garden, reading history books and horse riding along the river when it is not in flood. Family meals together for birthdays and holidays is always a special time at our home.
