The much anticipated Discovery Weekend will be held this weekend (27 and 28 July) and will showcase tourist spots right across Moira Shire.
Over the two days, residents can enjoy scrumptious local produce, paddle boat rides, coffee, historic tours and more – all for just $1.

Mayor Libro Mustica has encouraged all residents to save the date.

“The Discovery Weekend is part of the Friends and Relatives Campaign which aims to showcase our region to locals who often act as tour guides, showing off our very special part of Sun Country on the Murray to their visiting family and friends,” Cr Mustica said.

“This weekend is a great opportunity to explore our own backyard and tourism operators from Bundalong to Barmah have got on board and are offering attractions, products and experiences for just $1.

“Look out for your special ticket and brochure in the mail to use on both days of the Discovery Weekend.
“Simply show your ticket at participating venues and enjoy mates rates all weekend.”

There are prizes on offer for residents who collect four stickers on their ticket at participating venues.
“The prizes, valued at $1,500, comprise two nights’ accommodation at RACV Resort Cobram plus a three hour sunset dinner cruise for four people aboard the MV Paradise and a Locheilan Cheese Triple Cream Brie Ring; a two night accommodation voucher from ‘The Sinatra’ Waterfront Holiday Homes, Mulwala; and a two night cabin stay at the Numurkah Caravan Park,” Cr Mustica said.
“Simply return your completed ticket with its four stickers to your local Visitor Information Centre before Saturday 10 August 2019 to be in the running for this great prize.

“So book the dates in your calendar - get out and about and see just what our shire has to offer!”
