With the implementation of the new Local Government Act 2020, all councils must implement a Community Engagement Policy.
Community engagement is a constantly evolving process and includes multiple levels of public participation, both at different stages of the process and because different stakeholders will chose to engage at different levels.
In response to these factors, our draft Policy has now been developed.
It is based on principles which endeavour to inform, consult, involve, collaborate and empower the community in decisions of Council.
