UPDATE - Proposed Cobram Retail Development

We have received Planning Panel Victoria's report on the combined Planning Scheme Amendment C88 and Planning Permit 5/2017/204 for the Cobram Village proposal, which incorporates 2 supermarkets, retail premises and a medical centre at 2-6 Colgan Street, Cobram.

The Panel has recommended Council abandon the Planning Scheme Amendment and not issue a planning permit.

It is important to note this report only provides recommendations.

Moira Shire Council and the Minister for Planning will make a decision on the Panel's recommendations in coming weeks.

Background information

The Amendment proposes to rezone the land from a Commercial 2 Zone to a Commercial 1 Zone. The land affected by the Amendment is 2–6 Colgan Street, Cobram.
