Artist callout - Moira Midwinter

We are seeking artwork from Artists/Makers in response to the theme Our People, Our Environment. Selected work will be exhibited as part of Moira Midwinter – a series of mini festivals across the four main towns of the shire.

The exhibition is a way for artists to explore their stories, surroundings and the unique way of life in regional and rural Victoria.

We encourage those entering to experiment with ideas and show us that art is integral to everyday life.

We look forward to seeing work from the vast diversity of artistic contributors to our communities.

The four Moira Creative Arts Hubs are involved as local connectors for this project, so please feel free to approach them via links at the bottom of this page to discuss your ideas, however specific questions about the process should be directed to



To enter you must:

  2. Fill in and return to
  3. Include in your email, an in focus, good quality image of the work. Maximum file size: 5mb

Entries must be received no later than Monday 30 May

All artists will be contacted by email on Tuesday 31 May

Artwork must be delivered on Wednesday 1 June or Thursday 2 June to one of the following locations:
     Cobram Service Centre: 44 Station Street Cobram VIC 3644

     Opening hours: 9am – 4:30pm

     Barmah Forest Heritage and Education Centre: 73 Blake Street Nathalia VIC 3638
     Opening hours: 10am – 4pm

     Yarrawonga Service Centre: 100 Belmore Street Yarrawonga VIC 3730
     Opening hours: 9am – 4:30pm (closed 12pm - 1pm)


Maximum size for 2D work: 450 x 550mm
Maximum size for 3D work: 300 (length) x 300 (witdth) x 600 (height)
If your work is slightly larger than these size restraints, please get in touch to discuss.

Work must be delivered ready to display / hang (for 2D work, either framed or with wire attached)



Your work may be for sale and no commission will be taken.

All sales are to be handled by the artist directly; contact details will be made available at the exhibitions.

All entrants may also be invited to take part in future arts projects in Moira.
