Decorate Moira Competition Terms and Conditions
Prize draw terms and conditions of entry
1.Entry is open to the general public, except employees of the promoter, Moira Shire and its immediate families and employees/families of agencies associated with this Promotion.
2.The competition commences 9:00 am Monday 1 November 2021 and final entries close at 5:00 pm Friday 10 December, 2021. Moira Shire Councillors will judge the entries with the winner to be notified by telephone using contact details provided in their entry, which will be confirmed by email. Subject to all the requirements under any relevant state and territory regulations there will be an unclaimed prize draw at 12.00 pm on Monday December 20, 2021 for all prizes unclaimed on this date
3.There is only one entry per category.
4.The prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
5.If the prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
6.To enter, respondents must fill in the online entry form and provide their name address and contact details on Moira Shire Website.
7.Respondents will need to give a brief description of their display and address how their display meets the competitions criteria.
8.Respondents will also need to upload photos of their display.
9.Judging- Moira Shire Councillors will evaluate the entrants. The criteria used for evaluation will be:
- Celebration of the Christmas spirit (all categories)
- Imagination and innovation (all categories)
- Community participation (for the Small Town Category)
- Sustainable use of materials (for the sustainability category)

11.Prize winners may be required to provide proof of identity to Moira Shire Council to claim their prize.
12. Small towns that are eligible to enter the competition are: Barmah, Bearii, Bundalong, Burramine, Invergordon, Kaarimba, Katamatite, Katunga, Koonoomoo, Kotupna, Lake Rowan, Peechelba, Picola, St James, Strathmerton, Tungamah, Waaia, Wilby, Wunghnu, Yabba North, Yalca and Yarroweyah.
13.The prizes must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher/ticket/pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher/ ticket/ pass. The promoter will not be liable for any voucher/ticket/pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
14.To the full extent permitted by law, the promoter will not be liable to you in respect of any claim for any loss or damage whatsoever (including, without limitation, any consequential, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages) or for any personal injury suffered by you as a result of or in connection with the promotion.
