Road Discontinuance Proposal - Laneway - Queen Street (South Side),

Moira Shire Council (“Council”) is considering the discontinuance of the laneway located behind the properties of No 5 to 9 Murray Street and No. 48 to 70 Station Street, Cobram, in accordance with clause 3 of Schedule 10 of Local Government Act 1989 (the Act)(“the proposal”).

Following consideration of submissions Council may resolve not to discontinue the Road or to discontinue the Road and then either sell the land from the Road to the adjoining owner(s) or transfer the Road to itself.

How to make a submission

Submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act. All submissions received in writing by 5pm Friday 21 April 2017 will be considered.

You must indicate in your submission if you or your nominee would like to speak in support of your submission at a Committee of Council meeting commencing at 5pm on Wednesday 10 May at the Civic Centre, Cobram

Copies of submissions (including submitters’ names and addresses) will be made available at the Council or Special Council meeting at which the above proposal will be considered. Council is also required to make submissions available for public inspection for a period of twelve months.
