Grinter Street and Tuckett Street, Nathalia Part Road Discontinuance Proposal

Moira Shire Council ("Council") is considering the discontinuance of parts of the unused road reserves of Grinter and Tuckett Streets, Nathalia under Section 12 of the Road Management Act 2004 and clause 3 Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 ("the proposal").

Subsequent to the discontinuance, the land would revert to unused Crown Land and may be made available by Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning for inclusion in the Nathalia Cemetery Reserve.

Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing. Submissions should be addressed to:

Under section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989, any person making a submission is entitled to state in their submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in that submission, at a meeting to be heard in support of the submission. Please note that copies of submissions (including submitters’ names and addresses) will be made available at the Council or Special Council meeting at which the above proposal will be considered. The Council is also required to make submissions available for public inspection for a period of twelve months.

All submissions received by 5pm Friday 2 September 2016 will be considered.
