Works on the new all abilities playground on the Yarrawonga foreshore will commence this month.
Moira Shire Councillor Wendy Buck said the all abilities playground will allow children of all ages and abilities to have fun and play with their friends in a safe environment.
"The playground will revitalise the current, ageing playground and introduce exciting new, play equipment," said Cr Buck.
The first stage of the project will improve access to the playground and create all abilities parking along Bank Street. This will require temporary safety fencing to be erected around the works area.
"Once these works are complete we will then move on to upgrading the playground and its equipment. We anticipate these works will commence after Easter," said Cr Buck.
There will be no change to access to the foreshore during the project.
Once completed the park will include two all abilities parking bays, a parking bay for a larger vehicle such as a 20 seater bus, concrete pathways between the parking bays, a playground and existing all abilities toilet facilities.
