Be part of the future for Strathmerton

Publish Date: 11/11/2016

The community of Strathmerton will come together this month to share their stories and join forces to create a Community Plan.

Moira Shire Council will be working with the community of Strathmerton to help develop the town’s plan for the future.

Council’s Mayor Gary Celevand said it was important everyone who had a connection to the town gets involved.

“If you have a connection to Strathmerton join us to plan for the future,” he said.

“This will be the first of a series of community activities designed to capture the thoughts and aspirations of the community.”

Cr Cleveland said these would be incorporated in a community plan with a shared vision for the future and key opportunities and actions for the town.

Community plans are developed and implemented by the local community for the local community with support from Moira Shire Council.

“Anyone interested in the growth of Strathmerton is welcome to come and be part of the process and ensure a strong future for the town.”
