Retailers throughout Moira Shire are getting into the Christmas spirit with a shire-wide Christmas sale in December.
Businesses in Numurkah, Nathalia, Cobram and Yarrawonga will join in the celebrations with extended trading hours on Saturday 10 December and Sunday 11 December.
There will also be live street music, face painting, jumping castles, balloons and a visit from Santa Claus.
Moira Shire Mayor Gary Cleveland said that with the range of businesses across the shire, there is something for everyone.
“If you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping this is the perfect weekend to do it,” he said.
“Not only will shops and cafes be open longer, there will be fun and festive joy, including a visit from Santa and free kids activities.
“Our local businesses provide the backbone to our towns and what better way to support them than by shopping locally.
“With the variety of businesses in Numurkah, Nathalia, Cobram and Yarrawonga, I’m sure you will find a present for even those who are the hardest to buy for.”
Saturday 10 December:
Retailers in Numurkah and Nathalia will open until 2pm, Cobram until 3pm and Yarrawonga until 4pm.
Sunday 11 December:
Retailers in Yarrawonga will be open until 3pm and in Cobram until 1pm.
