Tourism (Visitor) Services Strategy

We are seeking your feedback on our draft Visitor Services Strategy.  The strategy recommends a comprehensive makeover of our current mix of locations, services and programs.

The tourism strategy outlines five core recommendations
  1. Retain accreditation of Yarrawonga Visitor Information Centre
  2. Retain the Barmah Forest Heritage and Education Centre as a non-accredited Visitor Information Centre
  3. Develop a mobile and pop-up Visitor Information Centre
  4. Deliver a Visiting Friends and Relatives Campaign
  5. Engage local businesses as Visitor Information Points
Copies of the draft Visitor Services Strategy are available online and are on display at our service centres in Cobram and Yarrawonga and Visitor Information Centres across the Shire.

You can share your feedback online using the form below, by email and can be mailed or delivered to Council’s service centres in Cobram and Yarrawonga.

Following the conclusion of the public feedback process, the draft Strategy will be reviewed and then provided to Council for further consideration. It is anticipated that implementation of the recommendations would take place over a period of up to two years.

Feedback closes Friday 1 September 2017.
