Strategic Planning Reports
Planning is about making the best use of land for housing, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and recreation. It is about making places where people want to live, work and play, places which are safe and inviting and places which are sustainable.
Strategic Planning relates to the forecasting and management of future land release areas as well as renewal of established areas. To manage the impacts of development and growth in the Moira Shire the planning department is developing and reviewing our planning strategies, policies and frameworks.
Moira Planning Scheme sets out the objectives, policies and provisions to regulate the use and development of land. The Council has a statutory obligation to review its Planning Scheme and is developing new policies and strategies to ensure that investment is encouraged and are based on sound planning outcomes.
