Waste Fees and Charges
Council has a reduced fee for residents of Moira Shire. Please take proof of your address when visiting the landfill site or transfer station. This could be your driver licence, an account etc.
All prices include GST and are correct as at 1 July 2011.
Please note that payment of waste fees and charges at Councils Transfer Stations can only be made by cash or cheque, with a receipt issued by the Transfer Station Operator.
EFTPOS is now available at the Cobram Transfer Station/Municipal Landfill and the Yarrawonga Transfer Station only.

Prohibited Waste - liquid waste (except oil, must be un-contaminated), dead animals, industrial food waste, hot ashes, hazardous/toxic substances, night soil or sewerage, grease trap waste, medical or clinical waste, asbestos and fly ash.
Green Mulch - is available from sites for free (limit one standard trailer load per person). Mulch is collected at own risk.
Large Loads - in excess of 5m³ are not accepted at transfer stations.
Illegal Dumping - any persons seen dumping illegal rubbish at transfer stations, landfill, roadside stops or along the road side can be reported to Moira Shire Council Local Laws.
Fees - acceptance of any waste material, fees and charges, will be determined by the site operator.
