Direct Debit Authority Form.pdf
By completing the Direct Debit Authority form, you will nominate a suitable account with your Bank, Credit Union or Building Society (if you are not sure whether your account is suitable check with your financial institution). Your rates amount for the payment method nominated by you will be debited to your account on the due date.
The instalment amount payable and date will be detailed on your rate notice.
Each year you will receive your annual Rate Notice which will detail dates and amounts payable. Council will debit your account in line with your arrangement. You will not need to complete a fresh application each year unless you wish to change your payment method.
To ensure your account is not overdrawn council will send an SMS message to your nominated mobile phone number. To achieve this you will need to provide your mobile phone number on the Direct Debit application.
The Direct Debit Authority is an ongoing Authority.
You can terminate this Direct Debit Authority at any time by advising Council in writing not less than 7 days before the next scheduled debit drawing.
