Parking Restrictions and Fines
Parking areas that are restricted are designated with a sign indicating time limits, disabled areas, etc.
Parking fines are applicable to offending parties and are in accordance with the Road Safety Road Rules 2009 (as amended from time to time). Penalties range from $50 to $122 depending on nature of offence.
Parking is stringently policed throughout the Shire and notices will be issued to offenders.
Internal Review
Under the Infringements Act 2006 you may apply to have your infringement reviewed. Only one internal review may be submitted per Infringement Notice.
The person involved in the decision to issue you with the infringement notice does not carry out the internal review.
An internal review is only applicable for fines that have not escalated to Enforcement Order or Infringement Warrant stage.
