Council Staff

The Moira Shire community elected nine Councillors to form the Council, who in turn appointed a Chief Executive Officer to implement the decisions of Council. To assist in the effective management of the Shire and the services it delivers to the community, the Chief Executive Officer put in place an organisational structure incorporating four Directors.

With an annual operating budget of approximately $40 million and capital budget of approximately $9 million in 2010/11, Moira Shire Council employs 181 full time equivalent staff to provide more than 140 services across the 4057 square kilometre municipality.

Council's administrative offices are located in Cobram, a newly refurbished Yarrawonga office and agency services in nine other towns throughout the municipality.
