Council > Council Meetings
Council Meetings
Ordinary Council Meetings are held every third Monday of the month starting at 6pm. Council Meetings are rotated between the Cobram Civic Centre, Nathalia Community Centre, Numurkah Council Meeting Room and Yarrawonga Town Hall each month.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings. However, Council sometimes resolves to close a section of the meeting to the public where it needs to consider matters of a confidential nature.
Special Council Meetings are sometimes called to deal with specific matters needing attention before the next scheduled ordinary meeting of Council and for the annual election of Mayor.
Meeting Dates
Monday 20 February 2012, Council Meeting Room, 99 Melville Street, Numurkah.
The 2012 Council Meeting Schedule will be set at the February Council Meeting.
Chairperson
The Mayor chairs each Council meeting, however, if for any reason the Mayor is unable to attend a Council meeting, the Council must appoint another Councillor to act as Chairperson for that meeting.
Public Question Time
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings. Public question time provides an opportunity for residents and ratepayers to submit questions in writing for consideration at a Council meeting.
