Australia Day Awards
The Moira Shire Australia Day Awards recognise the exceptional contribution, hard work and determination of the people in our community who inspire us all.
Moira Shire Council received 37 nominations for the 2012 Australia Day Awards for individuals and committees who had volunteered their time to make a difference in our community.
2012 Australia Day Awards were presented in the following categories:

Citizen of the Year;

Young Citizen of the Year;

Community Event of the Year;

Community Organisation of the Year; and
-
Environment Project of the Year
at the Multi Purpose Building, Tunnock Road, Numurkah, on Thursday 19 January 2012.
