Parks and Gardens

Moira Shire enjoys a warm sunny climate, allowing residents to make good use of a range of parks and gardens.

Each of the principal towns within Moira Shire has a variety of parkland, examples being the lake frontage at Yarrawonga, the creek surrounds at Numurkah, Nathalia and Tungamah and Cobram with the river and natural bush areas.

In addition, each town has a number of neighbourhood parks and there are roadside stops located on several of the major traffic routes passing through the area.

Development of these areas is the responsibility of Council and a shire-wide strategy is being prepared. Council's Operations department undertakes the maintenance of its parklands.
